The platform is intended for legitimate diligence, investigations, incident management, compliance, risk, and intelligence workflows.

Prohibited activity

  • Illegal surveillance, stalking, doxxing, harassment, credential theft, or unauthorized access to systems or data.
  • Uploading malware, exploit kits, stolen credentials, or content intended to compromise another person or organization.
  • Using the service to make fully automated legal, employment, credit, housing, insurance, or similarly high-impact decisions without required human review and lawful basis.
  • Attempting to bypass tenant isolation, rate limits, role controls, billing controls, or security monitoring.

Sensitive data handling

Customers must ensure they have a lawful basis and internal authorization for the personal data, source material, and investigation records they process in Opsidian.

Enforcement

Opsidian may throttle, suspend, remove, or report activity that threatens the platform, other customers, individuals, or legal compliance.
